hi guys!
hope you´re all doing fine, all over the globe, ranging from Canada/US to Australia.
I promised to publish some shots from Copenhagen (Denmark), so here they are! :D
Hope you´re gonna like them...
I stayed the weekend (this weekend), so they are still fairly fresh, the pictures still have to dry up, so be careful not to make a mess.
Had a great time here, and must admit that I felt priviliged to have the job I have, enabling these kind of trips.
pic 1: Charlottenborg Square - nice big square, with few great buildings, including the (old) opera (not on the picture, because of bad light)
pic 2: Amalienborg Palace - royal Danish family lives here (Queen a.o.) - didn´t see her although we had agreed a time slot.. :( Those royals really think they´re something...
pic 3 and 4: Rosenburg Castle - in the middle of downtown, a great medieval castle (1606)! really impressive, nowadays contains musea and danish Crown Jewels. I think this was my trip´s highlight..
pic 5: Copenhagen Stock Exchange, and in the background (full in restauration unfortunately) the danish parliament building, Christiansborg
pic 6 and 7: Christiansborg, photographed from the other side (not in restauration)
pic 8: view on (part of) Copenhagen from the top of the Our Saviour´s Church. Great climb,.. man, I love to suffer, and also see other people sweat ;)
pic 9: I think, together with the next picture, the best known site of Denmark: Nyhavn: lots of restaurants and good atmosphere, live music, entertainment, etc etc
pic 10: last but not least: the litlle mermaid! Apparently she has been amputated, decapitated etc several times! Poor thing.. but still looks good! Oil of Olaz?
To summarize: go see Copenhagen, it is really a great city, and already attracts loads of tourists, especially from China and Japan!
I don´t know who that guy is always appearing on my pictures - kept following me through town, and even met him at the poch Golden Arches restaurant (several times!), where, by the way, you can chose either french fries or... (guess!).... carrots (haha) to go with your meal!!! Denmark rules!! :D
Gonna have a quick shower, tomorrow it is work again, and the go live date for Kidde Denmark, my client is close - so we are on short approach and all engines are still running ok. Keep our fingers crossed..
